Ranch Advisory’s Todd Graham Presents to Colorado Statewide HHP Committee

Posted on: Aug 01, 2013

The Colorado Habitat Partnership Program State Committee toured the Meeker area in late July to examine the region's ongoing landscape-scale wildlife habitat improvement projects.  Those efforts have been led by The White River HPP Committee, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and Ranch Advisory Partners.  To date, 9250 acres of pinyon/juniper, sagebrush, aspen, and mountain shrub communities have been treated to improve the ratio of forage to cover for migratory big game animals.  The Statewide HPP Committee visited this area to examine several projects.  Ranch Advisory's Todd Graham presented to this committee regarding design of the vegetative treatments, results, and ongoing monitoring efforts.  Due to the large scale of these treatments, Ranch Advisory will next help HPP construct a cost/benefit analysis model to determine how to create the most cost effective means to improve big game habitat over the longest duration.
